Our client is a well established mid-size Design/Build General Contractor in Ohio. With a focus on commercial, this firm is working on some of Ohio's most prominent and high profile projects. Their commitment to employee success is unparalleled, and they are looking for a strong Superintendent to grow and develop with their resources and expertise. They staff each of their projects with at least one Assistant Superintendent, a Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager to ensure there is a sufficient level of support to complete the project on time and under budget.
Job Description
The Superintendent will be responsible for:
Coordinate the work of all construction substrates in conjunction with the main office.
Arrange, monitor and be present for agency inspections.
Read and comprehend the information contained in architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings and specifications.
Review shop drawings and other reports prepared by testing and inspection agency. Prepare and monitor RFI's.
Prepare daily report forms and progress photographs.
Working knowledge and familiarity with computer operating systems including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel; and opening, preparing, scanning, printing, and sending PDF files and other documents.
Actively engage design professionals, subcontractors, project managers, and local officials, when needed, to problem solve, mitigate conflicts, and resolve disputes.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly job site; and enforce job site safety standards. The Successful Applicant
The Superintendent will have:
Proven ability to manage daily field operations and lead all onsite construction activities.
Strong understanding of safety protocols with the ability to enforce OSHA standards and promote a safetyfirst culture.
Experience coordinating inspections, resolving field issues, and ensuring work meets quality expectations.
Ability to create, maintain, and update detailed project schedules and shortinterval plans.
Skilled in overseeing subcontractor performance, manpower planning, and sequencing of work.
Ability to anticipate and mitigate jobsite risks, delays, and conflicts.
Strong leadership and teambuilding skills with the ability to motivate field crews.
Experience managing RFIs, field changes, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
Strong understanding of equipment operation, material handling, and jobsite logistics.
Ability to read and interpret survey data, layout requirements, and field measurements.
Solid problemsolving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving onsite challenges.
Ability to maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation of site activities.
Reliable transportation and flexibility to move between job sites as required.
OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant safety certifications preferred. What's on Offer

$100,000 - $130,000 base salary dependent on experience
