Location: MN-Oak Park Heights, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite

Overview: Every consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As Tech and Data, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management

Lead an advanced team of cloud engineers, platform architects, and DevSecOps practice

Lead and define DevSecOps strategies and oversee all DevSecOps processes

Own and evolve DevOps platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), promoting reusable pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code and DevSecOps practices

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building capabilities, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence

Manage team performance, career development, and resource planning

Deep technical expertise in public cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform), containerization (e.g., Kubernetes), and other cloud-native technologies

Cloud Platform Strategy and Execution

Define and drive the strategic direction of the cloud platform, aligning it with organizational goals and business objectives

Oversee the architecture, design, and delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platform solutions

Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks

Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency

Operational Excellence

Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and cost

Implement best practices for security, observability, incident response, and change management

Define and implement a modern DevSecOps practice, including an automation, and platform engineering mindset

Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards

Oversee incident management and problem resolution for the cloud platform

Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with product owners, application teams, security, and other IT functions to align platform capabilities with business needs

Excellent stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and communication skills

Able to translate technical concepts and roadmaps for business leaders

Budget and Vendor Management

Manage cloud platform budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiatives

Manage cloud subscription structures to optimize cost, performance, and resource allocation

Implement FinOps practices for budget forecasting and accountability

Evaluate and manage relationships with cloud service providers and third-party vendors

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

3+ years of experience managing a Cloud Platform Engineering and Operations team

7+ years managing people within an IT enterprise

Technical Skills

Significant experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform

Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD systems, and DevSecOps practices

Strong understanding of databases, servers, storage, networking, security, and cloud architecture principles

Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, Zero Trust, RBAC, and incident response in cloud environments

Leadership and Communication

Must have experience leading/managing an Enterprise Cloud Platform Engineering and Operations team

Demonstrated experience in organizing teams to respond to changing business requirements

Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional projects

Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills

Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, applying innovations to enhance service delivery and cost efficiency

Support audits, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery initiatives, ensuring readiness and compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree is preferred

Experience building a DevOps-first culture emphasizing automation, ownership, and reliability

5+ years of team management or technical leadership experience aligning infrastructure strategies with business needs

Experience mentoring engineers, leading roadmaps, and balancing hands-on work with strategic leadership

Strong decision-making skills in fast-paced, high-growth environments

Cloud Platform Certifications such as Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

Experience with FinOps, platform engineering, or internal developer platforms (IDPs)

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL practices

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $160,000 or the hourly equivalent.
