Field Service Technician

Job Description

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS / DUTIES:

The Field Service Technician provides high quality, efficient and timely repair, preventative maintenance and installation at customers’ facility to ensure that all Quanta System products are performing in accordance with system requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Technical Service Delivery:

Respond to work orders within the assigned territory to fulfill customer requests for repair, maintenance and installation.

Conduct service activity in accordance with written instructions, diagrams, service manuals, etc. and in accordance with Quality System requirements.

Work with, maintain, and manage service kits, inclusive of hand tools and power tools.

Ability to work independently, stay focused, on task and complete work within acceptable time frames.

Must strictly follow and adhere to all safety standards.

2. Service Reporting and Customer Interactions:

Provide legible, complete, and accurate documentation upon the completion of service calls.

Must have excellent customer relations skills including the ability to remain calm, and receptive in high stress and fast paced situations.

Must work and interact effectively and professionally with internal stakeholders and external customers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two-year biomedical equipment technician (BMET) degree, or Associates Degree in electronics or other technical related field.

Strong math skills and technical aptitude.

Ability to demonstrate dexterity and competency with fine tools and equipment.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel approximately 80%, mainly by air

Required to move heavy equipment, in excess of 100 pounds.

Utilize close visual acuity for working with machinery, hand dexterity, and attention to detail.Company Description
