Location: Jackson, MS
Role and Responsibilities: The Computer Operator I operates all equipment in the computer room.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitor the print queue and submit print command to the computer system.
Satisfy demands of the printer for print activity.
Align forms (around 30-40) on the various printers in the computer room.
Distribute print to appropriate user.
Monitor system activity. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
One year certificate in data processing operations or related data processing education or one year mainframe operations experience
Basic PC skills
Working knowledge of automated job schedulers preferred
Good communication skills
General knowledge of computer mainframes and computer operations
General knowledge of printers and forms
General understanding of ActiveBatch, FreeFlow Print Software and the use of all production operation-oriented software facilities
Ability to function effectively in the workplace as exhibited through one's integrity, courage to act and communication skills
Ability to work with others effectively as exhibited through one's respect for people and commitment to teamwork
Ability to meet organizational goals and customer expectations as exhibited through one's accountability for results, commitment to service and initiative
