Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team supporting a new buildout for a high-visibility initiative in the Capital Markets - Securities Lending space.

The role involves full-stack backend development with an emphasis on high-performance, scalable systems.

You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle including architecture, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

This is a hands-on technical role with direct exposure to business users and product owners. Responsibilities:

Design, code, and maintain Java-based services and libraries for Securities Lending and related platforms

Contribute to the buildout of a new component within the Securities Finance platform

Implement robust solutions adhering to high coding and testing standards

Collaborate with global development teams, QA, and DevOps for smooth CI/CD integration

Work with business users for requirement analysis, product rollouts, and production support

Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices in clean code and scalable architecture

Document technical flows and support onboarding new developers Required Skills & Experience:

10-12 years of professional experience with Core Java and Spring Framework (Boot, Data, etc.)

Messaging framework experience required

Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems

Solid experience with SQL and relational databases like MySQL, with exposure to Redis, Kafka, or Snowflake considered a plus

Experience using tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins)

Familiarity with DevOps practices and GitHub Copilot is an added advantage

Hands-on experience with AWS is preferred

Background in Financial Services, particularly Securities Finance or Prime Brokerage, is highly desirable Soft Skills:

Capable of independently managing development tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams
