Job Description
Lead and oversee safety programs on active construction projects, ensuring plans are tailored to site-specific conditions and risks.
Partner with project leadership early in planning and preconstruction to embed safety considerations into logistics, methods, and sequencing.
Conduct regular field audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to verify compliance with OSHA standards, internal policies, and client requirements.
Deliver engaging safety training sessions and toolbox talks that emphasize practical understanding and behavioral safety principles.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, and develop actionable corrective/preventive measures.
Mentor, coach, and develop junior safety staff to build future safety leadership capacity.
Serve as safety liaison with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams. The Successful Applicant
The successful Safety Manager Applicant will have:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated construction safety experience, preferably within commercial or industrial environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard identification, safety program development, and field execution.
Preferred certifications: OSHA 500, CHST, OHST, ASP, CSP, or equivalent professional safety credential.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence teams at all levels.
Comfortable with frequent site visits, varied weather conditions, and active jobsite environments. What's on Offer
