Job Description
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support two Project Managers on newly broken ground multifamily and townhome developments in Virginia and North Carolina. In addition to field and project support, this role will collaborate closely with the development team on design coordination and preconstruction efforts for future projects-providing a unique opportunity to gain experience beyond traditional construction execution.
The APM will be based out of the Rockville, MD office with regular but reasonable travel to project sites across the DMV and periodic travel to the Carolinas.Key Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers with daily project execution activities on active multifamily and townhome developments
Support coordination of subcontractors, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
Assist with cost tracking, change management, and progress reporting
Participate in design coordination and preconstruction planning for upcoming projects alongside the development team
Attend project meetings and site walks as needed

The Successful Applicant
2+ years of experience in construction (current Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager level)
Required: Experience with multifamily or large-scale residential construction
Strong desire to grow long-term within a smaller, relationship-driven organization
Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable supporting multiple stakeholders
Collaborative mindset with the ability to adapt and take ownership
Open to regional travel and working closely with both construction and development teams
Cultural alignment is critical-this team values attitude, professionalism, and long-term commitment as much as technical skill.

Base Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 (flexible based on experience)
