My client is a long-established electrical contractor serving Philadelphia and surrounding regions. The company specializes in commercial building installations, highvoltage cabling, substation construction, emergency power systems, aviation projects, antenna & wireless systems, building systems installation, lighting retrofits, and retail/restaurant fitouts, as well as complete electrical systems maintenance.
Job Description
Manage all phases of electrical construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and closeout.
Coordinate technical aspects such as commercial installations, high-voltage cabling, substation work, aviation-related systems, and emergency generation installations.
Review drawings, specifications, NEC requirements, and customer expectations to develop detailed work plans.
Oversee jobsite operations and support project foremen, journeymen, and apprentices from Local 98 to ensure work quality and productivity.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project standards.
Troubleshoot issues related to power distribution, lighting systems, building wiring, and specialty systems such as wireless antenna installations.
Serve as primary project contact for clients, vendors, inspectors, and internal teams.
Prepare and deliver project updates, progress reports, and schedules.
Develop project budgets, monitor costs, track labor hours, and manage material procurement.
Approve purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor invoices.
Ensure all work aligns with NEC codes, project specifications, and Eagle Industrial Electric's safety standards.
Support safety meetings, risk assessments, and compliance with 24-hour emergency response protocols.
Implement quality control processes for installation of systems such as lighting retrofits, retail/restaurant fit-outs, building systems, and high-voltage installations.
Verify testing, commissioning, and turnover documentation. The Successful Applicant
5+ years of project management experience in electrical construction.
Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, NEC standards, and commercial/industrial systems.
Experience with high-voltage systems, emergency power generation, or specialized systems (aviation, antennas, distributed systems) preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, and technical documentation.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Experience working with union labor (Local 98 or similar) if preferred
Background working on complex environments such as airports, substations, or large commercial facilities is preferred
PMP or relevant certifications are a plus. What's on Offer
