This senior role leads the strategy, design, and execution of a high integrity commercial data foundation that enables advanced analytics, AI, and process mining solutions across the enterprise. The Sr Principal Data Engineer drives the data and platform architecture required to support enterprise scale AI, with a strong focus on data quality governance.
Responsibilities
Lead commercial data quality & governance, defining rules, frameworks, and MDM standards ensuring trusted data across Salesforce, SAP, Marketo, Celonis, PowerBI, and other commercial systems.
Own strategy for commercial data quality measurement, audit tooling, and master data validation frameworks.
Define and govern enterprise standards for commercial data pipelines, model lifecycle management, CI/CD for data/AI workloads, and scalable MLOps frameworks.
Oversee engineering of Celonis data models, transformations, and Action Flows.
Drive commercial excellence via process mining, real-time pipeline visibility, and automation.
Mentor and scale engineering and data science team members, defining delivery standards and cross-functional collaboration.
Advise leadership on data strategy, sequencing, and platform readiness for AI, automations and predictive analytics.
Qualifications
12+ years in computational science, commercial data engineering, AI platform architecture, process mining, or MLOps leadership.
Expertise in Celonis, Salesforce, Python, SQL.
Strong background in data engineering, data quality, MDM, governance, and DevOps/MLOps frameworks.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and distributed data systems.
Results oriented mentality with a track record of solving problems and delivering ahead of schedule.
Experience completing projects across people, process, data, and technology in complex global organizations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
