Our campus is located in Southwest Medina County, only 45 minutes from downtown Cleveland and 30 minutes from downtown Akron and downtown Wooster. Our district covers 119 square miles and is comprised of five townships and five villages.

Role Description

This is a temporary, on-site role as Elementary School Building Substitute located in Lodi, OH. The Elementary School Building Substitute will cover various classrooms and subjects as needed, help support the students' educational and social needs, follow school's lesson plans, maintain order and discipline in the classroom, and maintain all records as required. The Middle School Building Substitute works closely with the school administration, fellow teachers, support staff, and parents to provide the best educational experience possible for the students.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred, but not required

Active substitute teaching license required

Experience working with middle school students

Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills

Ability to follow detailed instructions and lesson plans

Ability to maintain a positive learning environment while adapting to different teaching styles and subjects

Must pass required Ohio BCI/FBI background check

Building substitutes are scheduled 4-5 days per week on days when school is in session. Pay is at the building substitute teacher rate of $125 per day.

To be considered for a building substitute position, candidates must first apply through the Medina County Educational Service Center and be board-approved by the Cloverleaf Board of Education as a substitute teacher. After completing the required paperwork at the ESC, candidates will receive notification they have been approved by the County School Board and will then be approved by the Cloverleaf Local School District Board of Education. Upon hire, you will receive an email with information to complete payroll forms and an invitation to join our sub-finder program, Frontline.
