The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, regulatory requirements and Management project directives.
The role involves conducting inspections, monitoring site activities, reviewing materials and workmanship, and ensuring proper documentation and reporting of quality-related processes.
The QA/QC Engineer works closely with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and consultants to maintain high-quality standards and minimize rework or defects.
Skills / Competencies:
1. Solid udnerstanding of construction processes, methods and site operations.
2. Solid understanding of construction processes, codes, and technical specifications.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent documentation and report-writing skills.
5. Good working knowledge of quality audits and root cause analysis.
6. Can work independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
8. Ability to coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
9. Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC for construction projects.
2. Experience in infrastructure, ports, marine, or heavy civil works is an advantage.
3. Strong knowledge of QA/QC standards, procedures, and inspection protocols.
4. Experience in material testing, inspection, and documentation control.
5. Experience in preparing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and QA/QC reports.
6. Experience in Rehabilitation and Structural Retroftting works for Infrastructures.
Must be a License Civil Engineer
