Web Engineer (RPG)

Job Description

Software Engineer with 5 years of experience bridging the gap between robust IBM iSeries (AS/400) backends and modern web architectures. Proven expertise in modernizing RPG codebases through Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. I specialize in exposing high-volume DB2 datasets to web applications, ensuring the reliability of legacy systems while enabling the speed of modern digital healthcare solutions.

Required Skills -

• 2-3 years of industry specific experience preferred.

• Must have Strong understanding of IBM iSeries.

• Demonstrated proficiency with RPG programming language.

• Working knowledge of DB2 and SQL Server databases.

• 2-3 years’ experience with software engineering best practices, including continuous integration, unit testing, refactoring, and code reviews.

• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, with specific exposure to or participation in Agile/Scrum techniques.
