Production General Help is an entry-level position in the production department of our bakeries. This role performs various essential duties and tasks including box construction, packing and quality control. This role is a great way to get introduced to manufacturing and begin a long-term rewarding career.

Role & Responsibilities

Perform box construction, packing, and quality control duties on the production line.

Communicate information with other employees on the same line/area.

Ensure the proper handling, stacking, and movement of ingredients and bakery products.

Completes required work including, but not limited to: Quality Check sheets, dough schedule recording, taking temperatures of product, housekeeping and working in a safe manner.

Communicates any issues to the proper Supervisor or Manager.

Operate and monitor and troubleshoot food machinery safely and efficiently.

Review the current production run and communicate any necessary adjustments.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within the work area, following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Adapt to frequent changes in a fast-paced production environment.

Work irregular or rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Properly dispose of waste materials and follow recycling procedures.

Requirements & Physical Demands

Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during a shift.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push and pull heavy wheeled equipment or carts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and crouch to access equipment, tools, or materials.

Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or operate machinery, tools, or controls

Ability to perceive and respond immediately to visual and audible safety alerts and warnings to ensure the safety of self and others in a fast-paced, hazard-sensitive environment with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and airborne particles, odors, and fumes.

Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or work platforms as required by the position.
