Akkodis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. Candidate must have strong expertise in Playwright automation to design, develop, and maintain scalable test frameworks.
Rate Range: $52/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
QA Automation Engineer job responsibilities include:
Design, build, and maintain an end-to-end automation framework using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript.
Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Create and maintain automated REST API tests to validate backend functionality and data integrity.
Perform cross-browser validation across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit to ensure consistent application performance.
Identify, document, and manage defects in JIRA while collaborating with developers to resolve issues and flaky tests.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in QA automation with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright.
Client requires advanced skills in Playwright automation with TypeScript or JavaScript.
Client requires experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines and working with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Pay Details: $52.00 to $56.00 per hour
