CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Skilled Carpenter
Join our national maintenance and construction firm as a Skilled Carpenter, and be ready to travel for exciting full-time commercial construction projects across the United States. We are looking for tradespeople who excel in the following areas:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commercial renovations and buildouts
Preparation of job proposals and quotes
Basic computer skills
Adherence to OSHA requirements
Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills to foster customer relationships
Attention to detail in repairs, including measurements, photographs, repair suggestions, and quotes
Willingness to work overtime and be on-call as needed
Readiness to travel and work overnight shifts when required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Your experience should include strong skills in the following areas:
Carpentry:
Framing with metal and wood studs, installation of cabinetry and countertops, installation of doors and windows
Painting:
Interior and exterior painting
Flooring:
Installation of VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base
Basic knowledge in:
Plumbing:
Replacement and installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, and basic drainage and water lines (licensed plumbers are encouraged to apply)
Electrical:
Replacement and installation of light fixtures, switches, and outlets, capable of basic data connections and diagnosing minor electrical issues (licensed electricians are encouraged to apply)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A proven track record of providing job proposals and quotes
At least 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance
Possession of basic construction hand tools
Completion of OSHA 10-hour training or ability to complete it within 3 months of employment (covered by the employer)
