Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain customize machining centers to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining principles and a commitment to precision and safety.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Enter production data into machines for producing panels for our Speed Guardian product line
Load raw materials into machine
Perform tool changes and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
Assemble panels while machine is working while also keeping the machine running
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
Identify and troubleshoot quality issues, making adjustments or escalating problems as needed.
Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
Identify and report any machine malfunctions, tool wear, or other issues to the supervisor or maintenance department.
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S principles).
Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and handling of materials.
Ability to flex into other work areas as needed
Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
High attention to detail
1-3 years of machine operation experience
Prioritization skills
Ability to use hand tools
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining, CNC operation, or a related field is a plus.
Essential Physical Functions:
Be able to safely lift or move at least 50 lbs.
Be able to safely climb stairs or ladder.
Be able to work in cold or hot working conditions
Must be able to Bend, Stoop, Squat, Kneel
Equipment Used:
The candidate may be required to use a variety of hand tools such as saws, drills, impact drivers, saws, pneumatic air guns, and tape measures.
