Positional Overview
The Imagine Group is recruiting for an Operations & Quality Lead Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading North American designer and manufacturer of high-efficiency solar panels and photovoltaic cells, with a state-of-the-art facility in Puerto Rico focused on reshoring advanced clean energy production. The organization combines decades of solar industry experience with automated manufacturing and quality-driven processes to deliver premium American-made renewable energy solutions for residential, commercial, and utility customers
In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and quality initiatives within the manufacturing environment, ensuring products and processes meet performance, efficiency, and compliance standards. You will lead cross-functional efforts to analyze production data, implement process improvements, and support root-cause investigations while collaborating with engineering, operations, and quality teams to enhance overall manufacturing effectiveness.
Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success
Serve as the primary company Operations and Quality representative at an assigned manufacturing site
Drive compliance to company manufacturing, quality, and process standards
Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinate site-level quality processes including audits, nonconformance management, and corrective action systems
Partner with cross-functional teams to address product, process, and supplier quality issues
Monitor and report key operational and quality metrics
Ensure adherence to product specifications, control plans, and inspection standards
Support outgoing quality processes and product audits
Act as primary liaison between site operations and company corporate functions
Assist with implementation of process controls, FMEAs, and standardized work
Support product launches, changes, and validation activities
Participate in customer audits and prepare related documentation
Identify opportunities for yield, efficiency, and quality improvements
Travel as needed to support training, audits, and issue resolution

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality or operations engineering
Experience with RCCA, SPC, and structured problem solving
Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments
Solar/renewable energy manufacturing experience preferred
Green Belt or Quality certifications preferred
