Warehouse Operator - Refractory

Position Summary

The Refractory Warehouse Operator is responsible for receiving products in the warehouse and distributing them throughout the Primary End. This role uses Maintenance Connection, communicates with finance, monitors inventory levels, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts.

Main Responsibilities / Essential Functions

Receive and deliver physical inventory and document accurately in Maintenance Connection.

Perform inventory counts and monitor inventory levels.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Utilize established documentation systems (logs, emails, paperwork, etc.) to communicate all relevant information to the refractory and management team.

Participating in improvement and organization projects.

Perform work in a safe manner and participate in SSAB safety programs, audits and reviews.

Assist with refractory duties as needed/scheduled by the refractory team leader

Complete all training within designated timeframes and attend all required meetings.

Understand and support the company's goals and values and adhere to company, department, safety, quality, environmental, and ethics policies and procedures. About You / Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Good computer skills.

Good, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills. Preferred

Forklift experience.

Maintenance Connection or other CMMS proficiency.

M365 proficiency. Position Type, Expected Work Hours, Travel Requirements

Position is full time, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime.

Position works 12 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
