Full Stack Developer

Insight Xcite is looking for a Full Stack Developer to support a government client in Northern Virginia. You'll build secure, scalable, and user-focused applications that directly support mission success. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who's as comfortable architecting backend services as they are building intuitive, responsive front-end interfaces.

Contingent Upon Award: This position is contingent upon contract award and/or funding approval. Candidates selected may be contacted for pre-screening and qualification prior to award.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications using modern frameworks and technologies.

Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and database integrations.

Develop responsive, accessible front-end interfaces that meet mission requirements.

Write secure, efficient, and testable code across the full SDLC.

Participate in agile sprints, stand-ups, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Provide documentation and engineering support across all project phases.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) — non-negotiable. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.

3+ years of professional experience as a full stack developer.

Proficiency with JavaScript and at least one major front-end framework (React, Angular, Vue).

Strong experience with Python, Node.js, or Java for backend development.

Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, etc.).

Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and secure application development.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience (or Master's with 4, Associate's with 8).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Knowledge of automated testing frameworks.

Prior government or consulting experience.
