Job Title: Application EngineerJob Description The role involves providing specialized engineering expertise through direct customer engagement and the application of fastener standards, ensuring optimized solutions and technical support for a diverse customer base.
Responsibilities + Build and maintain strong customer relationships through ongoing technical engagement.
+ Act as a technical advisor to Purchasing, Quality, and Sales teams.
+ Diagnose and resolve customer application engineering issues while recommending cost-effective solutions.
+ Provide engineering support for fastener design, testing, and manufacturing-related challenges.
+ Apply expert knowledge of fastener standards, including ISO, DIN, and ANSI.
+ Review and validate customer drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
+ Leverage experience with heading, forming, and coating processes to support product development initiatives.
+ Conduct field testing and provide hands-on support for customer product applications.
+ Support the Quality department through review and evaluation of PPAP documentation.
+ Perform Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and Lessons Learned activities.
Essential Skills + Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Manufacturing.
+ 3+ years experience in Application/Sales engineering & customer interfacing.
+ 1-2 years experience in fastener manufacturing processes.
+ 1-2 years experience in industrial and mechanical fastener applications & standards (ANSI, ASTM, DIN, ISO). + Experience with Inventor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications + MS in Engineering or Business.
+ Experience with GD&T.
+ Analytical and quality control capabilities (e.g., SPC, First Piece Inspection, Process Flow). + Experience with P21 ERP system for parts creation and inventory management.
+ Experience with product testing, including torque testing, hydrogen embrittlement testing, and part layout verification.
Work Environment Work is primarily performed in an office environment with additional tasks in shop, warehouse, test house, and occasional customer visits.
The role involves exposure to various manufacturing, shipping, testing, and storage elements, including equipment, chemicals, and supplies.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
