Job Title: CAD EngineerJob Description The primary objective of this role is to design, develop, and coordinate fastener solutions that meet the requirements of customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

The CAD Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate CAD documentation, supporting engineering and sales initiatives, and contributing to quality assurance through testing and development.

This position requires proficiency in 3D engineering and R&D drawings using AutoCAD Inventor to support quoting and design activities.

Responsibilities + Maintain a well-organized digital filing system for CAD drawings and related documentation.

+ Review, print, and revise product drawings to ensure accuracy, proper scale, and alignment with quoting requirements.

+ Perform weight calculations and provide engineering support and problem-solving assistance to the Sales team.

+ Create, update, and manage CAD files and technical specification data sheets.

+ Analyze customer blueprints to identify missing or unclear attributes required for accurate quoting and production.

+ Create and cross-reference part numbers within the ERP (P21) system.

+ Assist the Quality department with PPAP documentation review and compliance efforts.

+ Participate in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and Lessons Learned initiatives in collaboration with the Engineering team.

Essential Skills + Mechanical engineering + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor + Experience with 2D and 3D drawings + Knowledge of industrial fasteners and the fastener manufacturing process + Ability to develop CAD documentation + Engineering support skills including PPAP documentation Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate or Bachelor degree in engineering + 3+ years experience with Inventor and design + Experience with ERP systems and CAD documentation Work Environment The work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional visits to the shop, warehouse, test house, and customer sites as required.

The role involves exposure to various manufacturing, shipping, testing, and storage elements, including equipment, chemicals, and supplies.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
