About This Role:
ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, is currently looking for a dedicated, driven person to join our family as a Terminal Driver Recruiter for our growing offices in Columbus, Ohio! This is a hybrid position that will require at least 3 days in office per week after the training period.
The Driver Recruiter will be responsible for the recruitment of qualified Owner Operators and establish a pipeline for sufficient future demands. Duties and Responsibilities:
Sustain and grow the overall fleet of all divisions of the company and ensuring all divisions meet
and or exceed the budgeted expectations for driver growth.
Engage and recruit prospective drivers by selling them on all aspects of our best-in-class
company. Subject matter expert on all programs and offerings made available to the fleet as well
as freight lanes and driver pay rates.
Obtain and analyze multiple reports and determine whether owner operator candidate will be
qualified or disqualified.
Subject matter expert on DOT driver qualification safety requirements. Procure required
documents / items and ensure the DOT driver qualification safety requirements are adhered to.
Creatively source and develop a pool of qualified Owner Operator applicants using traditional and
non-traditional marketing and advertising techniques including social media channels, cold
calling / direct sourcing, networking, job fairs, employment agencies, internet searches, postings,
etc.
Field recruiting at industry events, truck rest stops, fueling stations, maintenance shops, truck
parts shops, eateries, etc.
Other duties as assigned Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required
Associate’s Degree or equivalent education or experience preferred
2+ years of experience working in a recruitment, sourcing, or sales role preferred
Transportation industry and DOT compliance experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills required
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written) required using different tools (text, email, phone,
video)
Ability to build relationships and collaborate with others
Intermediate computer skills required
Tenstreet and Microsoft Office experience preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to plan and organize with attention to detail and problem solving skills
Experience meeting deadlines and KPIs preferred
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced role
Flexible and open to adjust to an evolving industry Physical Requirements:
