Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in the Construction industry. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of construction heavy equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are in top working condition. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and safety of our construction projects. You will work closely with our team of engineers and project managers to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and ready for use at all times. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a vocational or technical training program in mechanics or a related field
At least 2 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in the construction industry
Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
Experience with heavy equipment and vehicles, such as bulldozers, excavators, and dump trucks
Experience with welding and fabrication
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on construction heavy equipment and vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with equipment and vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and ready for use at all times
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance and repairs
Skills:
