Foreman – Dirt & Underground Utilities

Geotex Construction Services Central Ohio

Geotex Construction Services is hiring a Foreman to step into a critical field leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing dirt operations and underground utility work across the Central Ohio market.

Geotex is intentionally seeking leaders who:

• Communicate clearly, motivate crews, and actively develop field talent

• Lead from the front and step into hands-on work when needed

• Plan work proactively with a minimum expectation of 2–3 weeks of visibility

• Build credibility quickly with crews, superintendents, and jobsite partners

• Contribute to stronger clarity, consistency, and field leadership standards

Role Scope & Responsibilities

This Foreman is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing field operations while maintaining safety, schedule, quality, and cost discipline.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead daily planning, production execution, crew oversight, and equipment/material coordination

• Oversee earthwork, grading, and excavation, along with storm, sanitary, and waterline installation

• Execute work in compliance with plans, specifications, and jurisdictional requirements

• Own safety execution, including trench safety, OSHA compliance, daily JHAs, and hazard identification

• Communicate professionally with crews, superintendents, project managers, inspectors, and general contractors

• Utilize construction technology such as GPS, lasers, levels (Trimble experience is a plus)

• Track production, materials, timecards, cost codes, testing, and punch items

• Operate equipment as needed while maintaining strong safety awareness

Base hourly range for the role is $36.00 - $50.00 hour.
