Quality Control Manager - Heavy Fabrication

SavvyWise Workforce is partnering with a confidential heavy fabrication company in Glasgow, MO to find an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead all quality assurance and inspection operations.

Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain the quality management system (QMS)

- Oversee all inspection and testing of welded and fabricated steel components

- Ensure compliance with AISC, AWS, and client-specific quality standards

- Manage and mentor QC inspectors and NDT technicians

- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

- Coordinate with production, engineering, and project management teams

- Manage documentation including weld maps, inspection reports, and NCRs

- Lead internal and external audits

Requirements:

- 5+ years of quality management experience in heavy fabrication, structural steel, or welding

- Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1, AISC standards, and NDT methods

- CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification preferred

- Experience with AISC fabricator certification processes

- Proven leadership skills managing QC teams

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies

- Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation: $125,000 - $145,000/year + benefits including 401(k) with matching and health insurance

Location: Glasgow, MO (on-site, relocation support available)
