Business Development Manager
The Role
We are seeking a high-caliber, entrepreneurial professional to spearhead our Singapore market entry. This is a "pioneer" role that combines strategic business development with hands-on regulatory consultancy. You will be responsible for building our presence from the ground up, with the long-term objective of building and leading the Singapore team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Market Entry & Operations
Together our leadership team, lead the setup and launch of our Singapore office.
Develop and execute a localized growth strategy to establish the firm as a trusted advisor in the Singapore financial services ecosystem.
Manage local partnerships with law firms, auditors, and IT vendors to provide a seamless "single point-of-contact" service for our clients.
Business Development & Innovation
Drive the adoption of our proprietary E-learning platform in Singapore, overseeing marketing initiatives and coordinating platform delivery.
Customize educational content and e-course programs to align with specific Singaporean regulatory standards and client needs.
Identify and convert opportunities within the FinTech, Digital Asset and traditional Wealth Management sectors in Singapore.
Regulatory Consultancy & Advisory
Provide expert-level guidance on MAS regulations, offering in-depth analysis and practical critiques of regulatory requirements.
Draft and implement tailored compliance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and internal controls for newly licensed entities.
Serve as a bridge between clients and the regulator, assisting with licensing applications and ongoing compliance health checks.
Leadership & Training
Conduct specialized training sessions for clients to ensure their teams meet local regulatory expectations.
When appropriate, recruit and mentor a local team of consultants as the Singapore business scales.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory consulting within the Singapore financial services sector.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), Payment Services Act (PSA) and MAS requirements.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proven ability to work independently, "hunt" for new business, and manage project lifecycles from start to finish.
Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex regulatory "intent" into practical, actionable business advice.
