As a Backend Java Engineer, the role will be in charge for design, implementation, and testing of J2EE (JavaPlatform Enterprise Edition) and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) middleware and web applications basedon HCL commerce version 9.1 framework (formerly known IBM Web Sphere Commerce) or any otherenterprise Java based eCommerce (SAP/Hybris, ElasticPath) or CMS (Coremedia, Open CMS) .
The position requires to be proficient developing with CI/CD Agile methodologies using BitBucket/Jira andConfluence .
You will be required to:
Develop and test functionalities based on J2EE and HCL 9.1 framework (or equivalent)
Support Technical Leader and Senior Engineer managing sprint, backlog and documentation in Jira/BitBucket/Confluence (Atlassian suite)
Write technical documentations according to development task assigned
Take care of quality, designing and writing test cases for automated testing, participate to code review sessions mentored by Senior Developers and Technical Leader
Take care of performance being aware of caching, CDN Integration, best practice on DB and code optimization
Split between technical writing and development task is supposed to be 20% vs 80%
Proven experience in implementation of international eCommerce high trafficked sites
At least 3+ years experience developing with Java, JPA/Hibernate, Spring, SOAP Web Services,JMS/ActiveMQ, REST, JSON, Gradle, Maven, Ant, Spring MVC.
Be passionate in software engineering, Object Oriented programming, code re-use andimplementation of distributable API layers
Comfortable with of Docker containers and Kubernetes
Confident developing in a modern CD/CI pipeline based on Agile tools and methodologies (Jira,GitLab, Confluence), cloud based (Azure or AWS) usual with management of merge sessions
Proficient with relational database, mainly Oracle, knowledge of HCLCatalogdata model is a plus
Experience with Automated Testing leveraging tools like Cucumber
Experience in HCL Commerce (at least version 8.0, version 9.1 is preferred) . In alternativeexperience in eCommerce enterprise platform like SAP/Hybris or ElasticPath are welcome
Experience in e-commerce Web service development to support Headless Front-End paradigm
