As an Executive Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and placing senior-level executives and high-impact professionals in key positions at AEP. You will leverage your expertise to build relationships with top talent, understand client needs, and deliver exceptional candidates to meet strategic business goals.
Job Description
What you'll do:
Talent Sourcing & Identification:
Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies to source and engage high-caliber executives and other roles deemed critical to the organization.
Utilize various channels including networking, social media, industry events, and referrals to identify potential candidates.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscapes.
Hiring Leader Relationship Management:
Partner with leadership to understand their organizational needs, culture, and executive requirements.
Provide strategic advice on talent acquisition, market conditions, and compensation trends.
Maintain strong relationships with executives to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Candidate Assessment & Selection:
Screen and interview candidates to assess their suitability for executive roles.
Conduct through our vendors background checks and competency evaluations.
Present a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers and provide detailed candidate profiles and insights.
Work closely with talent management on succession planning and talent mapping for all critical positions.
Negotiation & Offer Management:
Facilitate the offer process, including negotiating salary, benefits, and other employment terms.
Advise both hiring executives and candidates throughout the negotiation process to ensure a successful placement.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
Stay updated on industry trends, talent market conditions, and emerging leadership practices.
Provide regular reports and updates to hiring leaders and internal teams regarding the progress of recruitment efforts.
Partners with Business HR, total rewards and TA leaders to collaborate on executive talent needs, pipeline and offers.
Candidate Relationship Management:
Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
What we're looking for:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Experience:
Ten (10) years of proven experience as a recruiter with at least two (2) years focused on executive recruitment.
Experience in a similar role with a strong track record of successful placements at the senior level also accepted.
Additional qualifications needed:
Excellent knowledge of recruitment processes, best practices, and market trends.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with executives and clients.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex and confidential situations.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools. outside agency experience highly desired
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

What you'll get:
Base Salary from $116,000 - $151,000/year
