Manufacturing Operations Manager Base: $140,000–$160,000 + Bonus We are seeking a hands-on, technically credible Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our growing production team in a high-mix, contract manufacturing environment.

This role requires a strong combination of people leadership, technical knowledge, and operational excellence.

You will be present on the shop floor daily, working alongside experienced machinists, mentoring department leads, and ensuring seamless execution of production, quality, and facility expansion initiatives.

This is a strategic, high-visibility role that will evolve into an Operations Manager position as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and coach department leads to develop their leadership capabilities.Supervise secondary operations staff (finishing, laser processing, deburring, etc.) with structure, guidance, and accountability.Provide daily floor presence to support leads and machinists, build credibility, and reinforce operational standards.Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across all value streams.Oversee day-to-day production, ensuring staffing, scheduling, and priorities meet customer and KPI expectations (including On-Time Delivery, quality metrics, and productivity goals).Partner with Engineering and Quality to troubleshoot technical challenges and maintain production flow.Support implementation of value-added processes such as precision machining, electropolishing, and laser welding.Lead Tier operational meetings and support executive-level discussions.Play a critical role in the phased transfer of product between facilities of moving machines.Maintain ISO 13485 compliance and support audits, CAPAs, and validation activities.Promote lean practices, 5S, and standard work while building systems for scalable growth.

Requirements & Qualifications10+ years of CNC machining/manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Comfortable with precision machining, tooling, fixturing, first part verification, and process troubleshooting.

Exposure to electropolishing, laser welding, or similar value-added processes is a plus.Proven ability to lead and mentor machinists and department leads, earning respect through knowledge and presence.Experience in contract manufacturing environments, ideally medical device or aerospace.Comfortable supporting technical decisions on the floor, coaching, and problem-solving collaboratively with Engineering.Demonstrated success in multi-site operations, facility expansions, or phased product transfers.Familiarity with ISO 13485 compliance and regulated production environments.Limited travel beyond local sites*Sponsorship is not available For questions or interest in the Manufacturing Operational Manager, please call/text Leslie at or email .
