Production Manager

Motherson Yachiyo AY Manufacturing Ltd, a Tier 1 supplier of sunroofs to the automotive industry is seeking a proactive and self-driven, Production Manager to join our growing Team.

This position will provide overall Leadership and set direction to the Production and Material Flow to maximize performance in the areas of production efficiency, quality, safety,5S, delivery, cost reduction and associate satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Envision, align, and drive execution across all Production teams in support of the Production/Material Flow Department’s business Plan and goals.Provide strong leadership through a compelling vision, clear direction, well-defined priorities and expectations, and by removing obstacles.Lead plant-wide TPM activity.Lead and oversee the Materials Flow department, offering guidance and direction to ensure effective operations.Analyze production data to identify plan-versus-actual gaps and direct or implement countermeasures to drive continuous improvement and achieve SQCD goals.Foster creative thinking within the group to develop new ideas for chronic problems – ensure team is challenged Ensure that production schedules, quality, and delivery expectations and efficiency levels are met daily.Ensure that Production and Material Flow Department staffing levels are adequate to service plant and customer objectives.Ensure that all 5S, safety and training standards are followed and maintained.Support and develop the team’s personal and professional growth to achieve long-range strategic goals.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university - engineering preferred.

7+ years of demonstrated manufacturing leadership experience, automotive preferred.Ability to make sound decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborative approach to work across different functional departments.Familiarity with Lean principles and practices.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication and team-building skillsPlan Do Check Act (PDCA) “Continuous Improvement” cycle.
