Machine Operator

OpSource is excited to partner with a reputable Plastic Injection Molding located in Inman, SC. We are currently seeking a skilled Plastic Injection Mold Operator/Inspector.

Basic Functions:

Operate injection molding machines/inspect parts, packaging finished products.

Pay for the position:

$15/hr plus $1 attendance bonus

Shifts: Monday to Friday with occasional OT

1st Shift: 7am -3:30pm

2nd shift: 3pm to 11:30pm

3rd shift: 11pm to 7:30am

Duties and Responsibilities:

Determine if final product meets visual quality requirements

Maintain a clean work area / environment

Report unsafe situations within Production Department

Operate Injection Molding Presses (manually when required)

Read and Understand Job Packets

Ensure proper containers are available (boxes scrap bins, parts bins, etc.)

Ensure proper packaging materials and requirements are met.

Verify accuracy of Job Packets (revision levels, box quantities, etc.)

Verify visual quality of finished product

Proper completion of Visual Inspection Log

Proper operation of part weighing scale for counting

Understand how to identify typical molding faults (shorts, flash, splay, etc.)

Operational understanding of ISO requirements for part identification

Knowledge and understanding of Company Quality Policy

Cleanliness of work area around machines and Production floor

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Ability to read and write English

Ability to use tape gun

Ability to safely use standard trimming tools

Ability to safely use Gages

Physical:

Standing for long periods of time

Lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, etc.

Able to lift 20 lbs on a regular basis

Good Vision (Glasses, contacts)

Mental (Mathematics/Language/Mechanical):

Able to speak English in a fluent manner

Basic Math skills to include addition and subtraction

Basic Common Sense

Working Conditions:

Standing, sitting, bending for a minimum of 7 hrs.

Non-Air-Conditioned facility

Smoking Environment

Running machinery: (noise, fumes, etc.)
