Overview
Join our dynamic team at Mercer, a Marsh business, as a Senior Proposal Development Specialist. This hybrid role requires working in the office at least three days a week. You’ll be part of our Strategic Bid Center team tasked with taking a client-centered approach to crafting proposals and presentations that stand out.
Responsibilities
Client-Centric Focus: Approach each opportunity with a strong understanding of client needs.
Project Management: Oversee the proposal and presentation development process to ensure alignment with client requirements and company branding.
Internal Coordination: Develop and manage work plans that reflect external deadlines while holding teams accountable throughout the proposal process.
Content Development: Collaborate with content managers and subject matter experts to research and draft responses to proposal questions.
Edit Master Documents: Own the master documents and manage multiple rounds of edits until completion.
Design Collaboration: Partner with graphic designers to create visually appealing deliverables.
Best Practices Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal procedures and best practices for each project.
What You Need to Succeed
Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills.
Education: BA/BS in business, journalism, marketing, English, communication, or business writing preferred.
7+ years of experience in investments and proposal writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
Adept at managing competing deadlines and shifting priorities.
Keen attention to detail while maintaining a broad perspective.
Comfortable working in an evolving environment.
Strong personal accountability and self-motivation.
Ability to collaborate effectively and value group feedback.
What Sets You Apart
Certification from APMP (CF or higher).
Experience in the investments industry.
Prior project management experience with RFI/RFP/DDQs, across any industry.
A genuine passion for learning and exploring new ideas.
Familiarity with SharePoint, QorusDocs, or online bid procurement tools.
