We are currently seeking a Production Technician to support the electrical and mechanical assembly of automation equipment, including control panels and robotic systems. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment who can work independently, troubleshoot issues, and meet production goals in a fast-paced setting. The Production Technician will collaborate closely with engineers, team members, and customers to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high quality standards.
Qualifications
Minimum of a High School Diploma required, Associate’s degree or technical certification in Robotics, Automation, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
2+ Years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, automation, robotics, or industrial maintenance
Experience assembling, installing, or troubleshooting automated equipment or robotic systems
Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints
Experience with basic robotic teach pendant programming and system calibration
Understanding of sensors, actuators, vision systems, and safety devices in automated environments
Knowledge of industrial safety standards and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills
Ability to perform preventative maintenance and root cause analysis
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and/ or manufacturing software systems
Experience assembling, installing, or troubleshooting automated equipment or robotic systems - preferred
Exposure/ familiarity with collaborative robots (cobots) and robotics (Fanuc) is highly preferred
Ability to operate a forklift
Key Responsibilities
With limited supervision performs electrical and mechanical assembly work involving automation equipment, including control panels, and robots.
Capable of meeting established goals in a timely and efficient manner.
Utilize problem identification and resolution systems.
Keep team members informed through timely utilization of verbal and written reports.
Investigates and provides feedback to resolve technical questions and problems.
Organize build site and supplies.
Operate forklift and cranes.
Work well with customers as required to successfully complete projects.
Work well with helpers, Engineers, Management, and support functions.
Other duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
