QA Tester - .NET / Azure

QA Tester (.NET / MuleSoft / Azure Environment) Location: Chicago, IL Work Model: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester to support testing activities in a Microsoft .NET and Azure-based environment.

Currently, all testing activities up to production are performed manually, while automation initiatives using Playwright and Postman are being implemented in the test environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong manual testing expertise with exposure to API testing and an interest in contributing to automation efforts as the organization evolves its QA strategy.

Key Responsibilities Perform manual testing (functional, regression, integration, and system testing) across applications deployed in Azure.

Validate web applications built on the .NET framework.

Conduct API testing using Postman.

Test integrations managed through Azure API Management (APIM). Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.

Log, track, and retest defects through resolution.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Participate in release validation testing prior to production deployments.

Support ongoing automation efforts using Playwright and Postman automation scripts in the test environment.

Assist in transitioning from a manual testing model to a scalable automation framework.

Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in manual software testing.

Experience testing applications developed in a .NET environment.

Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman.

Familiarity with Azure services, particularly Azure App Services and API Management (APIM). Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.

Experience creating structured test documentation.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications Exposure to or hands-on experience with Playwright.

Experience working with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines within Azure environments.

Knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting fundamentals.

Experience supporting transition from manual to automated testing.
