This position offers a unique chance to work in a reputable facility providing quality emergency care. Contract Duration: Ongoing

Shift Schedule:

12-hour shifts available, days or nights

Shifts run from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Approximately 25-30 shifts per month with on-call coverage available

Support Staff: 30-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverage

Average Daily Census: Approximately 71 patients per day Facility and Patient Details:

Practice Setting: Emergency Department (ER) within a hospital

Beds: 366

Patient Demographic: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

EMR System: Cerner

Trauma Level: Level 3

Observance of Holidays: Coverage may be required on major holidays Candidate Requirements:

Licensure:

Must hold a current Iowa medical license or be eligible under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

Valid DEA and CSR licenses

Certifications:

Required: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and MRT for adult and child abuse reporting

Board Certifications:

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (also accepted: ABPS, IM, or FM with Emergency Medicine experience)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in emergency medicine

Experience with Cerner EMR: Preferred

Credentialing: Process may take up to 90 days
