As a Lead Commercial Closing Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing the closing process for commercial properties, ensuring a seamless transition from contract to sale. You will serve as the primary communicator between all parties involved, including attorneys and underwriters, overseeing the compilation of fees and ensuring that all necessary documentation for both seller and buyer is accurately executed. Your commitment to compliance with underwriter instructions, as well as federal and state laws, is key to facilitating timely property sales and refinances.

In this leadership position, you will monitor and guide commercial closers, helping them navigate the complexities of the closing process.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a pipeline of commercial orders, ensuring timely ordering of searches, issuing of title commitments, and overseeing clearance processes.

Prepare and review important closing documents such as settlement statements and closing affidavits.

Ensure that all title commitments meet necessary requirements for issuing policies.

Accurately manage the disbursement of funds in accordance with signed settlement statements.

Record final documents promptly to adhere to deadlines.

Maintain professional communication with clients and their representatives, addressing inquiries swiftly.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations pertaining to title and settlement services.

Train and support team members to align with our business goals.

Assist management in directing workflow and balancing team workloads effectively.

Provide constructive feedback on processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting system updates.

Implement immediate adjustments based on client feedback, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Offer coaching and leadership, focusing on employee performance and productivity.

Collaborate with the Commercial Closing Director on enhancing procedures and systems for increased efficiency.

Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent work experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Over five years of experience in title, settlement services, or the mortgage industry.

A minimum of three years of national title experience.

Experience dealing with real estate contracts for at least three years.

Hands-on experience with Title/REO technology platforms for at least three years.

Licensing requirements must be met, including maintaining good standing if applicable.
