Job Description

The Associate Director, Creative Media serves the football program in the area of creative services producing video and marketing communication materials that consistently identify, drive and communicate information about players and the team on a variety of platforms, including but not limited to web, social media and internal team distribution. Determines creative direction, plans, estimates and timetables for projects. Assists in production of creative and innovative content for incoming recruits. Collaborates with coaching staff to produce internal highlight and motivational content. Collaborates to train video production students. Assists in game day video operations, including but not limited to setup and teardown of audio/visual equipment at team hotel and locker room. Present on field and in locker room on game days. Works nights, weekends, holidays and non-traditional hours. Required to work quickly, efficiently, and with adaptability under strict deadlines. Responsible for projects from start to finish. Serves as a liaison for the football program and with other areas of the department and the University. Ensures compliance with NCAA, Big Ten and University policies and procedures. Performs other related administrative duties as they relate to daily football operations. This position works in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. Preferred minimum years of relevant experience: 4 - 8 years

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge and experience with Adobe Premiere required. Knowledge and experience with Adobe After Effects preferred. Knowledge and experience with entire Adobe Suite including Photoshop Illustrator InDesign Lightroom and Audition desired. Knowledge of a collegiate athletics department and NCAA structure desired. Strong communication skills creativity and flexibility preferred. Ability to work multiple tasks and manage numerous deadlines effectively required. Experience with NCAA and Big Ten rules and policies preferred. Candidate must have exceptional organizational and communication skills.
