Assists Chief in planning and administering enterprise wide Data Collection Systems: * Supervises data administration managers (e.g., assigns and prioritizes work, makes hiring recommendations; evaluates staff performance) assigned to offices throughout the department; * Assigns and prioritizes program/project policies, procedures and timelines; * Provides embedded data management support to an office or center, reviews database design, documentation and data element parameters for compliance with department standards and vision; * Monitors work progress; * Designs, develops and maintains the processes and timelines for monitoring report card data quality processes; * Evaluates data policy questions related to data corrections and use; * Formulates policy related to data collection and use; * Assists staff in resolving difficult computer problems related to data collection, verification and/or analysis; * Ensures data administration standards are followed in accordance with best practices and industry standards; * Maintains standardization of data element definitions and documentation; * Manages data system security; * Advises director on trainings for end users and customer service initiatives.
Meets with internal and external users to discuss and resolve issues; * Attends and conducts management-level meetings; * Coordinates with other department centers and provides expert advice to higher level management; * Attends training/seminars; * Operates computer to access, enter and retrieve data.
