Concrete Foreman
Job Summary
The Concrete Foreman is responsible for leading, scheduling, and supervising field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees daily site operations, coordinates resources, and drives production goals while modeling the company's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, assign, and supervise crew members to ensure timely, high-quality work
Plan daily activities, conduct morning huddles, and align team on production goals
Review project specifications to determine materials, equipment, labor, and procedures required
Set forms and perform all laborer duties as needed
Ensure compliance with safety standards; lead by example and enforce company safety policies
Conduct audits and quality assurance checks
Identify challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain productivity
Operate equipment and tools including skid steers, telehandlers, saws, impacts, and drills
Collaborate with HR and leadership on performance management and disciplinary actions
Drive continuous improvement and team development initiatives
Perform other related duties as assigned, up to and including all laborer responsibilities
Required Skills & Abilities
Expertise in all laborer duties and construction site operations
Strong understanding of construction trades, materials, methods, and tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
Proficient in reading tape measures with strong math skills
Knowledge of plumb, level, layout, straight edge, and hand tools
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead, coach, train, and develop team members
Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and project demands
Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and maintain a respectful team environment
Education & Experience
6+ years of construction experience
Prior task lead or crew leadership experience required
Valid driver's license or state-issued ID
Equipment certifications for skid steers or forklifts (training available if needed)
CPR and First Aid certification (training available if needed)
OSHA 10-hour certification required
OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to traverse various worksites; bend, climb, stretch, and reach as needed
Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Work in environments including concrete, dirt, dust, fumes, and loud noise
Stand and walk up to eight hours per day; climb multiple flights of stairs
Work extended hours and Saturdays as required
Work at various heights
