(Senior) Business & Data Analyst

We are a Global Insurance Firm with strong presence in Hong Kong. We are seeking a passionate and experienced (Senior) Business & Data Analyst for our Data Engineering / BI ( Business Insights ) Team which oversees the Data Engineering, Visualization and Analytic functions.

Your Role

Build / maintain business datamarts to visualize KPIs, metrics in reports / dashboards to empower data analytic capability across functional teams for Life Business

Understand the Company’s business processes and applications, including their effect on data and reporting, apply the knowledge gained in designing datasets, reports and dashboards

Analyze business data to identify actionable insights for management and stakeholders

Drive analysis on customer segmentation / profiling and campaign performance

Analyze and verify requirements for dashboards and reports by working with requesters, SMEs and partners

Supporting the continuous enhancement, maintenance of datawarehouse, ETL processes, reports and dashboards

Work with IT and partner teams for project implementation

Prepare and execute test plan, test cases, as well as user training

Assemble system performance statistics, analyze them and make changes for continuous performance / capacity improvements

Understand / investigate data issues and derive solutions

Create / maintain data dictionary, user guide and other related documentation

Your Skills and Experience

Bachelor degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in Data / BI domains

Experience in data ingestion / ETL, data-modeling for datawarehouse

Highly proficient in SQL

Experience in PowerBI or similar visualization / dashboarding tools

Experience in Microsoft SSIS or similar ETL tools

Experience in Life Insurance ( GI – General Insurance an advantage )

Experience in Azure, Databricks, Python an advantage

Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills

Able to articulate business processes / requirements / ideas to all levels

Excellent skill in writing and communicating in English / Mandarin / Cantonese

Candidate with more experience will consider as Senior Business & Data Analyst
