Trusted by some of the world’s leading technology companies, we deliver highly scalable, mission-critical solutions that power both consumer and business applications globally. Since our founding in 2017, we have been at the forefront of designing cutting-edge networking, telecommunications, and consumer products, while driving end-to-end project execution and creating transformative technology applications.
Overview
The Product Development (PD) Engineer will play a pivotal role in advancing the production of wearable devices across contract manufacturers (CMs) in the APAC region. This hands-on role requires a strong foundation in high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing. It focuses on supporting builds, executing Design of Experiments (DOEs), optimizing yields, and identifying issues during manufacturing. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise and collaboration skills to enhance manufacturing processes and ensure seamless product development.
Responsibilities
Provide onsite engineering support during builds at multiple CMs, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to build plans.
Act as the primary technical liaison between internal engineering teams and manufacturing partners, monitoring build progress, and troubleshooting issues.
Plan, execute, and analyze DOEs to optimize manufacturing processes, validate design changes, and improve yield performance.
Review yield reports, identify trends and anomalies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve build-related issues, coordinating with CMs and internal teams to ensure quick resolution and documentation.
Work closely with design, test, quality, and supply chain teams to align on build requirements and support NPI activities.
Create comprehensive technical documentation such as build logs, DOE reports, yield summaries, and issue trackers.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in product development, manufacturing engineering, or related roles within consumer electronics.
Strong hands-on experience in supporting builds at CMs and expertise in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Proficiency in DOE planning and execution, yield analysis, and manufacturing process optimization.
Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving issues to root cause.
Effective communication and documentation skills
Ability to travel frequently within the APAC region and work onsite at manufacturing locations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NX or Creo and building battery-powered wearable systems or highly integrated consumer electronics.
Familiarity with yield management tools, statistical analysis, and production test strategies.
Proven experience in supporting NPI activities and bridging lab validation to mass production.
Proficiency in English, with additional fluency in Mandarin or other APAC languages being advantageous.
Strong technical acumen and ability to interpret complex yield data and manufacturing reports.
