JOB TITLE: Production Theta (3D) Laser Operator
REPORTS TO: Supervisor
SCOPE OF POSITION: Operate the Theta Laser to create components that meet all customer specifications.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (includes essential job functions):
Process orders to comply with customer specifications and delivery date requirements.
Assist in organizing and maintaining raw material and drop inventory for the Flat and Theta Laser Area.
Safely and proficiently move material within the Laser Department to allow for maximum production efficiencies.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Supervisor.
Maintain safe and orderly work areas, storage areas, and staging areas.
Perform and assist in preventative and general maintenance on Theta laser and supporting equipment. Follow or maintain maintenance per schedule. Report to supervisor.
Other details as required or assigned.
Assist in other departments such as Flat Laser or Press Brake, or with cleaning floors and other areas when there aren't work orders for the Theta.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
General computer knowledge and skills.
Excellent forklift skills both electric and propane.
Must be proficient in the use of measuring tools.
Must be able to multitask in a fast paced, detail-oriented manufacturing and production environment.
Proficient in blue print reading and symbol recognition skills preferred.
Metal fabrication and Laser experience preferred but not required.
Verbal and written communication skills required.
Must have good organizational skills
Must have strong math and metric conversion skills.
Good inter-plant customer service skills a must.
Must be able to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
Must be self-motivated.
Will be trained to safely and proficiently use a manual lift.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to sit or stand in an upright position for continuous periods of time.
May be required to walk throughout the facility during the course of the workday.
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to pull and/or push up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
May be required to bend forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
Compensation
$17- $22 per hour
