Position Summary This position helps support our diverse application portfolio comprised of vendor supported and in-house Java and .NET applications.

We are looking for a team member that will provide analysis, technical design, development, testing, and security review for complex projects/applications with Spring and Angular frameworks.

The position will take a leadership role in consulting with multiple WisDOT areas to define technical business requirements and design and develop innovative solutions accordingly.

Salary Information This position is in schedule-range (07-33) with a salary of $38 - $53 per hour or (or $79,040 - $110,240 annually), plus excellent benefits.

A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Job Details This state agency does not sponsor work visas.

Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants must detail having experience in all of the following in order to be considered: * Significant work experience developing enterprise web and cloud-native applications, including microservices architecture and/or API design, using Java-based technologies (e.g., J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA) * Professional work experience in modern front-end development utilizing Angular or TypeScript/JavaScript; and jQuery (for legacy support) * Professional work experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and/or performing analysis and design of application systems In addition to all of the above criteria, highly qualified applicants will also detail having experience with at least one or more of the following: * Upgrading legacy applications to modern frameworks * Professional work experience operating as a technical lead for application development using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) * Working with WebSphere Liberty * Developing automated tests for applications using tools such as JUnit for unit or integration testing, or Playwright for UI and/or end-to-end testing How To Apply Apply online!
