Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Developer for a Contract onsite role in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Mainframe applications, DB2 development, CICS administration, and overall mainframe operations. This role will support development, maintenance, and troubleshooting for critical enterprise systems.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mainframe Developer job responsibilities include:
Developing, enhancing, and maintaining mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related technologies
Supporting DB2 database development, query optimization, and performance tuning activities
Handling CICS administration tasks including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Assisting with production support, rootcause analysis, and incident resolution
Performing mainframe job scheduling, batch cycle support, and environment stability efforts
Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth integration of application changes and system updates Desired Qualifications:
6-8 years of handson mainframe development experience
Strong experience with DB2 Application Development, DB2 Administration, and CICS Administration
Knowledge of JCL, COBOL, VSAM, and mainframe utilities
Ability to analyze, debug, and troubleshoot complex mainframe application issues
Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
