Are you a detail-driven accounting professional who thrives on accuracy, organization, and keeping financial operations running smoothly? At Astro Pak, we're looking for an Accounting Associate who takes pride in precision and enjoys supporting a fast-paced, service-focused organization. In this role, you'll contribute directly to the financial integrity of our business while partnering closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who works independently, meets deadlines consistently, and models professionalism in every interaction.

This role reports to the Assistant Controller and is based onsite at our corporate office in Costa Mesa, CA, Monday through Friday.

What You'll Do:

Manage and process larger recurring payables including leasing, car rental, and other monthly invoices

Assist with monthly reconciliations, including accurate job cost posting

Support the Payables Associate with coding, processing, and filing as needed

Record and distribute per diem payments

Review and approve daily submissions and perform GL reviews

Set up vendors in GP and maintain W-9 documentation files

Assist Accounts Receivable with collections and deposits as needed

Manage corporate credit card set-ups and distribute monthly statements

Set up employees in Concur expense software

Process annual 1099 filings

Perform additional accounting duties as requested by the Controller or Assistant Controller

Model and promote Astro Pak's Core Values in daily interactions

What You Bring:

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an accounting environment, preferably within a service-based company

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to interact with employees and customers in a professional, service-oriented manner

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Consistent attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications:

College degree preferred

Salary and Benefits:

The pay for this position has a base hourly pay rate of $26-$28. The actual pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
