The Press Brake Operator sets up and operates a press brake to manufacture parts according to work orders and blueprints. This role includes tooling setup, material loading, scheduled part inspections, and accurate production tracking in NAV. The Press Brake Operator is responsible for producing parts that meet blueprint and inspection requirements while following all safety policies and procedures.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Hourly rate of pay: $19.50/hour - $21.50/hour plus $1.25/hour shift differential.
Key Responsibilities
Operate press brake safely, efficiently, and accurately
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections at required intervals
Work with the Lead to develop shop knowledge and improve blueprint reading skills
Record production activity by clocking in/out of production orders in NAV
Assist with safe tooling removal and accessory equipment tear-outs at the end of production runs
Communicate with Lead or Quality regarding questions or discrepancies
Requirements
Basic math skills
Basic computer skills and ability to navigate NAV
Ability to interpret blueprints (or willingness to learn)
Ability to use measurement tools such as height gauges, calipers, micrometers, protractors, and comparators
1-2 years of relevant manufacturing experience required
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Lift up to 100lbs occasionally
Bend, reach, and handle parts throughout the shift
Use hands for press brake operation, tooling setup, and measurement tasks
Required PPE: eye protection, hearing protection, MET guard safety shoes
