The Office of Fiscal and Monitoring Services (OFMS) Monitoring Services Division is responsible for providing risk management services for OFMS and ODJFS. The division manages risk through subrecipient and contractor monitoring. The division provides training, technical assistance, audit liaison services, and resolution services. The division provides oversight for counties, workforce local areas, state agencies, and others. Additionally, the division manages the County Finance Information System (CFIS). Their services also include technical assistance and training for Ohio's counties. Our focus is on efficient and effective business operations, internal control, and compliance. What You Will Do
This position will work with the OFMS Project Manager to support existing analytic tasks, maintain regular reports, and create and maintain technical documentation for functions such as the CFIS system. The employee will analyze financial and operational data as needed and work with internal and external stakeholders on audits, system testing, and other activities across all OFMS bureaus.
Support and provide backup for current operations in OFMS bureaus as data analytics workload continues to grow.
Serve clients such as County Family Services Agencies (CFSA), Workforce Development Agencies (WDA), OFA SNAP, and other Fiscal and Monitoring bureaus.
Learn and use various financial systems, including CFIS, OAKS, IADM, the IOP database, Vericode, ARIES, and OB.
Document issues, map business processes, identify problems and potential solutions, create training materials, and assist subject matter experts with improving daily operations both in person and remotely.
Support financial managers, project managers, and bureau chiefs with regular and ad hoc requests.
Work directly with AOS, OBM, DAS, federal auditors, and other JFS partners.
The candidate should have an audit background, financial knowledge, and strong data analytics skills, including pivot analysis, Tableau Prep, and Power BI.
Challenges
This position requires flexibility and the ability to travel on short notice to meet with stakeholders and system users. The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects while balancing workload, travel, and stakeholder needs.
Schedule\: Full-time
Hours: Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7\:00 a.m. and 6\:00 p.m.
Travel\: As the position evolves, travel will become a minimum of 2 days per week covering all 88 counties.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s This position is in the State of Ohio’s OCSEA/AFSCME Pay Schedule, Pay Range 35. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $40.59 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
