OakLeaf Clinics - Urgent Care has an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Urgent Care team as a casual RN. This position is casual, no holiday or weekend requirements, and services all four Urgent Care locations: Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, and Rice Lake.

Our healthcare team comprises physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and medical assistants, working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to provide individualized care to the Chippewa Valley.
Position description
Duties include rooming patients, taking vital signs, completing medication reconciliations, administering medications, including injections, scheduling appointments, completing required prior authorization paperwork, assisting providers with their day-to-day clinical practices, and performing other duties.
Responsibilities
Assess the patient's needs to make appropriate and independent/collaborative decisions for selecting a specific triage plan
Use departmental evidence-based protocols to triage patients
Instruct patients on their healthcare
Document all interactions with patients and providers when medical direction is given
Coordinate services with other departments for follow-up based on the patient's needs
Communicate problems, concerns, and suggestions to lead nurses or the clinic manager
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in professional and clinical areas
Provide professional nursing care under supervision or the scope of licensure for clinic patients
Facilitate/perform the gathering of patient information and document accordingly
Schedule follow-up appointments
Instruct patients and families by phone as directed within the scope of licensure or certification
Screen patients for appropriate information
Maintain a timely flow of patients and complete forms as needed
Assist with office procedures as directed
Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations
Maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, Associate's or Bachelor's
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of patient care notes
Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills to complete documentation for medical record purposes
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Detail-oriented and accurate
Passionate about providing patient-focused care
Ability to multitask with attention to detail
Prior Epic experience preferred
Work environment

Salary: Starting at $32.00, commensurate with experience
