Summary
Assists administrators in all areas of CTE Summer Camps management, including behavior management and student assignments; serves as a liaison with central offices and schools to support Special Education students; provides intervention and direct instruction for students who are not making expected progress; assists teachers with curriculum modification and the interpretation of IEP documents; and provides guidance, as needed.
Qualifications
Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education and an endorsement in Special Education, with experience in teaching Special Education students. Knowledge of SEA-STARS with CTE related teaching experience, preferred. Ability to develop positive relationships with staff, students, and families; ability to communicate effectively. Knowledge of the instructional practices, techniques, and materials pertaining to the assigned teaching specialty; proficiency in technology; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and varied skill levels in a collaborative learning environment.
