A nationally respected law firm is seeking a Patent Agent or Technical Specialist to join its Intellectual Property group in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated technologies across electrical engineering and software-driven innovation.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience and a technical background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, physics, or a closely related discipline.

Preferred technical exposure includes:

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

5G and telecommunications

Semiconductor manufacturing and packaging

Draft and prosecute complex patent applications for innovative clients

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field

3+ years of experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications in electrical and software technologies

USPTO eligibility (registered or qualified to sit)

Strong academic background with clear, precise writing ability

Professional communication skills and client-facing capability

Competitive base salary approx $130,000 - $190,000, depending on experience, technical depth, and credentials
